We are dedicated to motivating young people to access the training and educational opportunities necessary for them to achieve their longer term goals.

Our Personal Advisers do this by providing information, advice and guidance on accessing education, training and placement opportunities that will assist young people to gain employment in their chosen field. The Personal Adviser also provides support to understand and resolve the emotional and behavioural problems that create barriers to sustained employment.

Connexions is a government funded initiative to give guidance and support to all 13-19 year olds. We cater for the more vulnerable members of this age group in London.

Ishmael was 19 when he was referred to the Connexions Service from the Advice and Assessment Team.He was sleeping on his friend 's floor. He had kept himself busy since arriving in London, upgrading his I.T.skills and obtaining high NVQ levels.
The Connexions Service Officer helped him fill in the necessary forms and also helped Ishmael apply to City and Islington College for an ESOL class.He wrote a CV to help him gain some evening work.The Connexions Service also helped fix him up with a football club.He now plays every week!
