Charity of The Year

What better way to involve your staff in supporting our work than by adopting Alone In London as your Charity of The Year!

In the recent past, EMAP and Berwin Leighton Paisner adopted us as their Charity of The Year. Presently, MacMillans and etc venues are engaged in a host of events to raise valuable sums that will help us maintain the positive momentum of our support services and our prevention of homelessness programmes.

Marathon, Triathlon and Global Adventures

The Flora London Marathon

Having our own places in the London Flora Marathon means that Alone In London can raise substantial sums for our young people services. Between employees taking up the challenge and their employers incentivising their staff by matching 100% the sponsorship raised, we can maximise this unique annual fundraising opportunity.

The London Triathlon

Join what is fast becoming the largest triathlon in the world. Taking place around the end of July, this challenge offers competitors an opportunity to compete in a rewarding event that is fast becoming the largest triathlon in the world.

We have five places which we would like to be taken up by employees whose employers will 100% match the sponsorship secured.

Global Adventures

We have linked up with Global Adventure Challenges to provide organised unique experiences in destinations such as Borneo, South Africa, Grand Canyon, China, Peru and Everest! Whether it be cycling, trekking, kayaking or rafting, while fulfilling a personal ambition, you will also be raising much needed funds that will enable us to restore stability in the lives of vulnerable young people.

Donations

Alone In London provides a range of support for young people support in crisis. We are also engaged in prevention programmes in schools, with local authorities and across the UK. We are a people service, which costs some £1.8m each year. Of this, we need to raise some £500,000 this year.

Raise Awareness

Alone In London is keen to raise awareness of its success as an innovative organisation, particularly given how the services it has developed over the recent past have now become ‘standards’. The latest success with The Prevention of Homelessness in Schools Programme reflects our commitment to ensuring we do not lose the potential of so many young people.

As a supporter of our work, your ‘spreading the word’ amongst your clients or customers and suppliers will help us connect more and, in turn, attract vital funds.

Gifts In Kind

Considerable savings are made as a result of the thoughtfulness of companies when they are replacing such items as computers, desks and chairs. By donating them to Alone In London, we can ensure the maximum per centage of donations and grants we receive go on meeting the needs of young people in crisis.

Pro Bono

There are projects that can be undertaken that benefit both your staff and Alone In London’s. For example, from time, we need to review our marketing material.

“What gave us particular pleasure in taking part in the London Marathon was the fact that we were able to support a charity that is not so widely known but is achieving important outcomes.”
Joe Baines - Baker Tilly

“When I visited Alone In London’s drop-in centre in Kings Cross, I learned from the Training and Employment Co-ordinator how the lives of young people, who have been unable to secure employment, are transformed and from the Prevention of Homelessness In Schools
Co-ordinator how this new project is proving very successful. Unhesitatingly, doing the Triathlon a second time, I decided to commit my fundraising endeavours again to Alone In London.”
